I had originally gotten Buddha for myself after our Chihuahua had passed away. By now, all of you know and agree that Buddha has chosen Siena as his heart human. Sure, Buddha is a sweetheart and most well-mannered dog I've ever trained, but he was never truly mine.
Then I found and adopted this new girl. She's a few years old, nippy, and extremely shy. But she's mine! She knew it and I knew it the moment we met. She is my heart dog and finally the void in my heart has been completely filled. She can't stand to be away from me and I swear she smiles as she wags her tail off when I just look at her. It was love at first sight. The real deal.
On a bad note she's nipped my husband and Siena once, and Buddha a handful of times, just for being near her. On a good note, we understand that she is a tiny girl, afraid of her new surroundings, and we are all very quiet and slow around her, Cutie and the Beast included.
We knew everything was going to be just fine when the little Chihuahua ran over and started tearing off some of Buddha's raw chicken under his nose while he placidly watched, and then quietly shared the meal together. We knew everything was going to be fantastic when the little Chihuahua decided to jump on Siena and fall asleep while I was shooting a Cutie and the Beast moment.
I think our family is finally complete <3
